Abstract
This brief article attempts to describe the Hopi world view -- a theological rather than a sociological concept -- in terms of their ideas about nature, the self, and society. The author discusses the Hopi bipartite universe and the elaborate system of correspondence dealing with the basic space-time-color-number paradigm which finds expression in Hopi ceremonialism. the concluding section of the work deals with the reciprocity of the Hopi with the spirit world, activated through various forms of prayer offerings.
