Abstract
This is a brief discussion of burial practices, mourning customs, and adoption rites among the Iowa Fox. Although the article focuses on description of customary practices, some information is given on Fox eschatology in order to clarify their beliefs about the relationship of adoption rites to the careers of the dead souls.
