Abstract
This document is a collection of texts of tales gathered from an elderly Comanche woman in Oklahoma. The tales are given in the Comanche language with English translations. A vocabulary is also included. The tales included are Coyote stories, fairy tales and fables, stories about humor in ridicule, manners and morals, adventure, and obtaining and preparing food. For people interested in 'folk-themes,' brief summaries are included and will be found in pp. ix-xii.
