Abstract
This is an eye-witness account of the Hunting Dance (or Snake Dance as it is called by the Seminole) performed in 1946 by the Cow Creek Seminoles in south Florida. Capron describes the preparation of the dance ground and feast, and the dance itself, which involved around fifty dancers with one hundred people in attendance altogether.
