Abstract
This document presents a detailed study of the plight of the migrant Puerto Rican farmworker on the United States mainland ranging in extent from conditions of exploitation to that of unionization. Income, labor laws, working conditions, labor contracts, and unemployment are all discussed in this work, and a profile is drawn depicting the typical Puerto Rican worker. Appendices present detailed information on two examples of labor contracts and agreements between employers in the United States and the Puerto Rican Commonwealth Government.
