This paper summarizes the accounts of 'Outside Man' told to the author by various Aleut informants. It includes his comments on and conclusions about the Aleutian concept of “Outside Man.” This paper was given by the author for processing. He read it at the 1948 meetings of the American Anthropological Association at Toronto.
