Abstract
This work presents a short ethnographic sketch of the Armenians in the United States, with only a brief reference to the Armenians of Canada. The document is divided into two parts. Part I deals exclusively with the immigration of Armenians to the United States from the early seventeenth to the midtwentieth centuries. Part II provides some limited data on occupations, prominent Armenian-Americans, political parties, voluntary associations, religion, charitable organizations, the Armenian press, musical activities, education, and the contributions of various Armenians to various U.S. war efforts from the Civil War to World War II.
