Abstract
This source is a discussion of the Zulu philosopher, Laduma Madela, who was also one of the principal informants of Axel-Ivar Berglund (document 8). The authors interviewed him a number of times during the course of two years and acquired from him a lengthy and 'vivid account' of the Zulu creation myth with much of the philosopher's own interpretation and prophecy included. The source covers both the description of an interesting Zulu philosopher and lightning doctor and the relation of the Zulu creation mythology to Laduma Madela's philosophy about the present day social structure, what it is that is wrong with it and how it should change.
