Abstract
In this study Tanaka examines central Kalahari subsistence patterns in detail, making comparisons in the process with the comparable material from the Dobe area in an attempt to delineate the range of variation among the Kalahari hunting and gathering peoples. Emphasis in the work is on the Kade San made up of /Gwi and //Gana groups. The document deals with ecology, culture change, and ecological adaptation.
