Abstract
This source is a detailed study of proxemics and grooming behavior among the members of three San camps located in the Kade area of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve in Botswana. The author examines sexual, kinship, and age and generational dimensions of interpersonal spacing, bodily contact, and grooming behavior among the San. Kade area is the region inhabited by the Gwi San, whom Silberbauer also studied (see documents 30, 36 and 39). The proper spelling of Kade has an 'unequal sign' before the 'K'.
