Abstract
This short article lists and annotates some of the Kisongo Maasai traditional penalties for dealing with murder, theft, adultery, abortion and curses. It also gives four examples of oaths or ordeals that are administered by the Maasai to establish guilt. The data were gathered and recorded by a colonial officer from information provided by some Maasai elders.
