Some modern changes in the government of Yoruba towns

Abstract
In this article the author briefly outlines the traditional Yoruba political system as encountered in the towns, the changes brought about by the British administration directly and the changes effected directly and indirectly by a modern commercial economy. He concludes with a discussion of current problems of local government.
