Abstract
This article is an account of three festivals seen by the author in the southeastern corner of Ilorin Province in 1938. The three are the Epa Festival of Ora, the Are Festival of Iloffa, and the Eji (or Asagba) Ceremony of Imode. Detailed descriptions are given of the paraphernalia used and of the various dances and songs. Clarke was formerly Superintendent of Education For Nigeria.
