Abstract
This work is an extension of the author's previous writing on kinship among the Yoruba (see 8: Schwab, this file) and is a detailed discussion of the terms and relationships among those persons whose kinship status has been affected by a marriage. This includes the principal couple and their affinal relatives. The author begins with a brief summary of Yoruba social organization, and presents some additional information on the lineage, polygynous family, widow remarriage, and related topics. The author is Assistant Professor of Anthropology and Sociology at Temple University. He conducted his field research in Oyo province in the city of Oshogbo.
