Abstract
This is the first of ten volumes of Plinys Natural History. Only the Preface and Book II of this volume has been processed for the Files. For other volumes of the Natural History, see documents by Pliny, the Elder (1969, 1966, and 1968) of this collection. Book II consists of an explanation of the nature of the heavens, i.e., the sun, moon, stars, planets, rainbows, weather, etc., and the earth, i.e., oceans, springs, earthquakes, volcanoes, etc.
