Naik, an overseas lecturer in cultural anthropology at the London School of Oriental and African studies, deals here with the Bhils of Rajpipla and West Khandesh. A general ethnography, this document includes material on linguistics and physical anthropology. Also covered in detail are the life cycle, religion, social structure, crime, and economics. Pp. 255-344, and 349-351 have not been included in this collection, inasmuch as they deal with transcriptions of oral literature and the possible future of Bhil culture.
