Abstract
This document (written by a Khasi) deals mainly with Khasi individual's view of his kin and non-kin, the relationships and placement of these groups in reference to himself and the concepts of marriage which result from these beliefs. Classificatory-descriptive systems of kinship terms and the relationship of these terms to group definition and function are also included. There is some mention of Khasi cosmogony.
