Abstract
This study examines the tribal variation in songs and incantations that are performed at funerals to help the deceased's soul reach its final destination place. Sangma also discusses the different kinds of dancing and musical instruments used in the ceremonies. The songs are written in Garo dialect with some explanatory notes in English.
