This is an overview of the Atayal and Bunun peoples based on Japanese reports and ethnographies, and the author’s own field trips. It includes discussion of settlements, housing, agriculture, food, hunting, clothing, ornaments, utensils, music, medicine, and transportation. The author also discusses culture change with respect to income, education, healthcare, and religion.
