Abstract
This source presents a description and interpretation of Yumbo dancing during the Corpus Christi fiesta around Quito. The author's position is that Yumbo dancing is an expression of ethnicity. He concludes that Yumbo dancing functions psychologically, religiously, socially, and philosophically.
