Abstract
This is a discussion of the Mormon doctrine of "gathering" based on scriptural reference to the assembling of saints and Tribes of Israel prior to the restoration of the Kingdom. The author chronicles Mormon migration westward as they established one New Jerusalem (Zion) after another as the locus of the coming gathering. Gathering was also the call of Mormon missionaries to the nations of the world to come to build Zion in America. For references cited see Hill and Allen (1972 “Selected bibliography”).
