Abstract
This document provides a discussion of Cherokee magic generally and their love magic specifically. Many precise formulae and texts serve as data. Each text is analyzed, and commentary is provided. Brief descriptions of Cherokee myth and symbolism are given where such information is necessary to the interpretation of the incantations. On the whole, the treatment of Cherokee love incantations is thorough to the point of redundancy. And the analysis/interpretation, though impressionistic, is probably as penetrating as any can be given the fact that Cherokee love magic has fallen into general disuse.
