Abstract
This article relates a story about how a young warrior becomes a sorcerer. As soon as the story's protagonist finds his power of sorcery, he accidently kills his mother-in-law and seeks refuge among the Iroquois, where he becomes a war-chief and leads a raid against the Huron.
