Abstract
This source explores the role of the PANDERO, an itinerant bread baker, his art, and stereotypes about him within Mexican society. The PANDERO occupies a liminal place in Mexican society and this position is reinforced by his art forms, i.e., the sculptural forms of the bread, and the verbal play engages in by the PANDEROS.
