Abstract
This book gives the historical development, with much specific information, of land tenure in Persia from the time of the Muslim conquest through the reforms of Reza Shah and the constitution. The book contains valuable information concerning taxation on land and produce, landed classes and peasants, village structure, governmental exploitation, buying, selling, renting and inheritance of land, acquisition of property by various means, the shifts and movements in land ownership and property law. The author was an authority in this subject and has traveled widely in research for the book.
