Abstract
Reciprocal relations in a Palestinian Arab village, wherein visiting patterns are a major mode of expression, are described and analyzed with the outcome that non-hierarchical and egalitarian relations are shown to hold among women, while competitive, hierarchical relations hold among men (p. 139).
