Abstract
This article is a report of clinical observations and anthropometric measurements made on a group of 61 Mam men from the Huehuetenango region. Included are data on blood pressure and pulse, various anthropometric indices, descriptive somatology, and observations on the incidence of illness and physical abnormalities. The author spent two months in the field in 1947 and undertook the research in order to provide a data base from which comparison could be made with skeletal remains unearthed by the United Fruit Company's archaeological excavation at Zaculeu.
