This monograph is a broad cultural survey of the Saami in Russia, Finland, Norway, and Sweden and it includes sections on Saami history, size, composition, and geographical distribution of the the population, anthropometry and somatology, language, social structure, family, patterns of living, educational system, labor conditions, health and sanitation, diet, dress, and dwelling, social and political values and attitudes, religion, and economic activities.
