Abstract
The Tobelo recognize three forest zones: forbidden, utilized, and stream forests. This study indicates the usefulness of this categorization in adapting to and mitigating forest degradation and biodiversity loss due to climate change, and recognizes the Tobelo peoples’ shared commitment to sound management of renewable resources.
