Abstract
This paper is an effort to understand the problems of change in a tribal village community, dominated by the Bhil in Rajasthan, It identifies the areas of stability and change and factors responsibe for such a state. Two studies which form the basis of this paper is Doshi's own field work in the area between 1961 and 1963, and the study conducted in the same locale by G. Ram in the closing years of the twentieth century.
