Abstract
The village of Eruvellipet in the South Arcot District of India is the subject of this paper. Following the general pattern of ethnographjic coverage in the study of these South Indian villages, Veerarghavan discusses demongraphy, land use, land tenure, tenancy, agriculture, animal husbandry, and village industry and trade. Socio-political organization of the village is somewhat limited in scope.
