Abstract
This is one of the village studies published by the Indian Census department. It covers a wide range of topics, including housing, diet, health care, occupational structure and relative living standards of the various sectors of the population. Besides the Tamil Vanniars (AW16), there are the Telugu (AW17), and Kanada (AW10) caste groups resident in the town of Arkasanahalli.
