In the preparation of this article for inclusion in the
file, technical reasons necessitated changing the pagination. Thus, file slips numbered
page 242 a, b, c, and d are, in the original publication, all page 242. This compilation of
factual information, concerning the agriculture, airlines, area and population, banking and
currency, broadcasting, chambers of commerce, climate, the constitution, diplomatic
representatives, education, foreign trade, fisheries, geography, history, industry,
insurance companies, land tenure, languages, the legal system, libraries, minerals,
museums, political parties, the press, prices, public finance, publishers, race, railways,
religion, roads, shipping, transport, trade and industrial organizations, universities and
colleges of Iran, gives a competent summary of contemporary Iranian institutions. Tables
are supplied with recent agricultural, commercial, currency circulation, public finance,
and price index data.
Document Number: HRAF's in-house numbering system derived from the processing order of documents
Document ID: HRAF's unique document identifier. The first part is the OWC identifier and the second part is the document number in three digits.
