AbstractBrief abstract written by HRAF anthropologists who have done the subject indexing for the document
This source, by two ethnologists, is a general survey of Marshallese culture. A long portion of the work is devoted to the history of the area, and the geography of the islands. There are sections dealing with material culture, social structure, economic life, and religion, as well as a number of legends. Considerable use is made of the published works of other authors.
