Abstract
This is a survey of plant species used in the Eastern Lowlands of Nicaragua, home of four ethnic groups, including the Garifuna (Garífuna). The authors compiled the information through their own observations and interviews with locals. They note the source of the plants and their use, including medical use. The appendix includes a list of the plant species, local names, use, how they are prepared and administered.
