This is a discussion of land tenure, usufruct, and inheritance among the Pomo of four principal villages on the shore of Clear Lake: Cigom, Elem, Kamdot, and Koi. Besides the central subject matter, the author presents data on native place names, settlement patterns, trade and other relations with nearby tribes.
