Abstract
These notes describe the E-Unoto ceremony of the Maasai which is a recurrent part of the age-grade institution and marks the transition of the junior warriors to the status of senior warriors. Lord Hamilton apparently was an eye-witness to the four-day ceremony and records the dances and activities involved.
