Abstract
This is a review of 'Social Life of the Navajo Indian,' by Gladys Reichard (4: Reichard, this file) by Father Berard Haile. The latter was head of the Franciscan Mission at St. Michael's, Arizona, and was known as an outstanding authority on Navajo ceremonialism and linguistics. The 'author' referred to in the text of Reichard and the page numbers in parentheses refer to the pages in her book about which Father Berard is talking.
