The Tiv tribe

The Government PrinterKaduna • Published In 1933 • Pages:

By: Downes, Roger Meaden.

Abstract
This document, although brief, presents a well-organized account of the life of the Tiv people and provides a valuable supplement to the works of Abraham and East. Downes stresses the ancestral basis for most of the Tiv magico-religious beliefs and his section on law and justice is particularly good.
