Abstract
This is a so-called "low-intensity disturbance" study of harvesting and use of palm leaves by one of the more remote Yaruro communities. Used primarily for thatching houses, palm leaves are also used as food and fiber. The author measures the amounts of leaves harvested and used to thatch individual houses.
