This source attempts to reconstruct the aboriginal culture of Easter Island from historical records supplemented by accounts from informants, with particular attention given to stone figures. An overview is given of the material culture, social life, and religious practices of Easter Islanders. Portions of the document omitted in eHRAF dealt with the trip to and from the Island.
