Abstract
This source, by a member of Captain Cook's crew in his voyage of discovery around the world, is mainly a description of a few days spent at Nomuka Island in June of 1774. The subjects covered include geography, flora, trading with the natives, behavior of the natives toward the Europeans, the collection of plant specimens, and the introduction of dogs to Nomuka.
