By: Setchell, William Albert.

Abstract
This document is a description of the uses of plants on Tutuila. Included are sections on food plants and agriculture, cooking, clothing, decoration and toilet, technology, and medicine. A brief section on plant myths makes frequent reference to the literature. The final section deals with the botanical nomenclature of the Samoans. This article is the second part of a three-part volume on the botany of American Samoa. Of the end plates in the original book, only those to which reference is made in the text have been reproduced for the files. The author, a botanist, spent two months on Tutuila in 1920 with a Samoan assistant and interpreter who provided most of the Samoan plant names.
