Abstract
This article summarizes curing practices, particularly those of the Tinputz proper of northeastern Bougainville. Coverage includes fractures and sprains, skin diseases, afflictions of the internal organs, fever, ear troubles, children's diseases, and throat troubles. The use of plant remedies is frequently noted. Some comparisons are made with treatments on the Indian sub-continent.
