Abstract
Based primarily on previously published data, this study examines the implementation and adaptation of irrigation systems by farmers who had previously depended on rainfall. Topics discussed include irrigation companies, allocation of water rights on streams, water delivery within companies, irrigation institutions, Utah Valley farmers in respect to the rest of the United States, objectives of the operating system, and an appendix which presents a simulation of irrigated farms in Utah Valley.
