Abstract
There are remarkably few specifics on the practice of midwifery among the Mormons in this source. Instead it consists of life histories for fourteen midwives spanning nearly a century, providing something of an account of life in early Utah. The author's research methods and material included interviews, correspondence, diaries and journals, and archival research.
