Abstract
This document describes the importance of economic trade transactions between pueblos and between pueblo and other nomadic peoples (with emphasis on the Indians of the plains, especially the Comanche, Ute, Jicarilla Apache, and Navajo). In this study trade relationships are discussed in detail, as well as reasons for trade, the role of the trader in exchange transactions, exchange partners, and the various items circulating in trade.
