Abstract
This study describes the relationship between nutritional status and lactational performance of 23 Navajo women from the northwestern part of the Navajo Reservation. The study consists of two parts. Part I is an experimental model conducted on piglets. This was not processed for the files. Part II describes the research conducted on Navajo women. The author concludes that the quantity and quality of milk produced in the first month after birth were normal, infant growth was satisfactory, and that maternal nutritional status was in no danger (p. 192).
