Abstract
This article describes a rainmaking and rattlesnake ceremony witnessed by a half-Mexican half-Yokuts informant when he was a boy. It also includes a short paragraph on his grandmother's contact with missions in California. The author, an ethnologist, did fieldwork among the Yokuts.
