Northern Paiute polyandry
American anthropologist, n.s. • 39 • Published In 1937 • Pages: 368-369
By: Stewart, Omer Call.
Abstract
This short paper is a reply to Julian Steward's contention that polyandry was absent among the Northern Paiute. The author of this source noted that though polyandry was infrequent it did and still does occur among the Northern Paiute of Northern Nevada and Eastern Oregon. His evidence is based upon his field notes from the area.
